Ok so i need help with football training?

Ok so I am a junior in high school I haven’t played football any year in school but i love to play football and I have been told I am really good. Only problem is, I’m not in shape and I never really have lifted weights. I’m going to start getting into shape and all that stuff but I need some encouragement and tips to help me get to play my senior year, preferably some gear that will help me get into tip top shape. Im a good running back and receiver. I am 5′9 one hundred sixty pounds and I can break tackles. I am not like super fast, but I can run fast enough, and I’m going to train to get faster. Anyways I need help on getting into shape and also what I can do to really impress my coaches for senior year and hopefully get to start.

    start running alot you will need it trust me the coaches are brutal out there. And if you want to impress the coach dont try and be better then you are go out there and be you. and from your size in high school you could be a line backer i’ guess right now im just a little dude 6″3 135 lbs lol im a wide receiver. But if you can be a linebacker you dont have to be to fast but you gotta be fast enough to keep up with TE or on a blitz atleast make the QB feel like he is under pressure. But ya just run increase your run time little by little every day i run 60 mins a day now when i first started i could only run 3o after running it makes a world of difference you have more endurance!

    First of, start running. Next one is going to suck… Run stairs, it builds endurance. If you want to play running back you need to work your arms… you don’t want to fumble the ball. if you can get your hands on some pads you need to start wearing it for workouts… you need to be used to wearing it and running.
